CBD oil is one of the most popular CBD products. The cannabinoid, CBD can be extracted from all types of cannabis plants but as per the US Farm Bill 2018, cannabidiol products derived from hemp plants are only considered legal. Also, their THC percentages have to be kept strictly below 0.3%.
In this article, we discuss the common mistakes people make when taking CBD oil.
Taking A Few Drops Alone
Some people think that a few drops of CBD oil would be enough to handle the conditions they are expecting relief from. Oil drops are inconsistent and taking the count of drops as your dosage criterion is not a good idea. When using a rubber dropper, the size of the drops depends on the pressure you apply when you squeeze the rubber end.
It is advisable to measure your dosage by checking the lines on the dropper rather than by taking the count of the oil drops.
Beginners may start by taking 10-15 mg of CBD two times a day. See the line of the dropper corresponding to your required dosage and fill the dropper until the line is touched. Then drop the oil under your tongue.
Swallowing The Oil Too Quickly
For better absorption of CBD in CBD oil, the sublingual method is recommended. Here, you place the CBD oil drops under your tongue for a minute and let the CBD absorb into the bloodstream through the sublingual glands. If you swallow the oil without letting it stay under the tongue for at least a minute, less CBD will only be absorbed. Once CBD oil reaches the stomach it has to be processed by the digestive system and a significant portion is left unabsorbed in the process.
Irregular Use
If you want optimal benefits out of CBD oil, you have to take it regularly. Using CBD once in a while might work for some, but for most people, it is not going to give good results. Being regular with CBD use is especially important if you are taking CBD oil for handling the symptoms of serious conditions.
Not Discussing With Your Doctor
If you are planning to take CBD to handle some serious medical condition, it is always advisable to discuss with your doctor before starting CBD use. They will be able to give you a better idea of the usage and safe dose.
CBD oil mostly comes with minimal ingredients and hence the effect of CBD does not get dampened due to the presence of taste and aroma enhancers.
